I’m in front left having a good time. This was part of Amit Gupta’s HalfBaked.com competition - design a startup in 10 mintues and pitch it to judges, including Dennis Crowley, ex-Dodgeball cofounder, whom I enjoyed talking to later. Our group’s presentation was the slickest, but arguably not the most creative.

I am impressed, it looks very good, was wondering how it would look if you applied the outlines effect inverted it then used it as an alpha channel to use for all the effects in After Effects.

We’re already built a variety of colored edges for ToonIt! - any color edge over white, plus Blacklight edges supports glowing neon edges over black in user-selected colors. Next generation should support any color edge over any color background, so the latter could be used as a blue screen or green screen. What you’re suggesting should also work in AE or FCP with the ToonIt! plugin and let you overlay pretty much any edge effect you want. Thanks for the suggestion, and if you try it let me know how it comes out.
