Thanks for visiting Toonamation.com! You’re early! We’re still getting things together around here, so expect lots of changes soon. In the meantime, here’s a little bit about Toonamation.

In short, we’ve created a set of image manipulation algorithms that can be used to create new art from your photographs and video. We’re always developing new effects, but our best stuff to date can turn your photos into visually striking comics and your videos into rotoscoped wonders like “A Scanner Darkly”.

Our goal is to make these tools “one click easy” for web use and flexible and powerful for offline use. For example, we’re currently finalizing a deal with Digital Anarchy to put out a plugin for After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop. We’re also interested in fostering communities for our users to hang out in, demo, and learn, where we can get to know them and better understand their needs.

For the moment, we’re talking with all sorts of smart people about our technology and working out the best way to make it available and fun to use.
